Japanese fans caused chaos.

Oricon music reported an interesting news on 9 February. A huge Kim HyunJoong poster was pasted at Japan Omotesando. The poster is taken from a magazine which Kim HyunJoong is featured in recently.

Once the poster was pasted, many fans immediately group around to take a look, the venue became very chaotic until police has to come forward to maintain order. Fans were very excited and wished to have a glance of the huge poster.

The magazine (An An) was released few days after the poster was pasted, as many fans grouped around to see, it showed Kim Hyun Joong's high popularity and level of acceptance, this magazine was sold out immediately after released.

At the same time, Kim Hyun Joong released his Japanese Singles 'Lucky Guy' on 25 January, its sales has exceeded 100,000 pieces during the first week, it is a big encouragement for the CD's ranking in Music chart.

Kim Hyun Joong‘s album has been certified Gold in Japan. According to the January million single/album list released by the Recording Industry Association of Japan on the 10th, Kim Hyun Joong’s Japanese debut single, ‘Kiss Kiss/Lucky Guy’ has been certified Gold. The Recording Industry Association of Japan accredits ‘Gold’ certification to albums that sell over 100k copies. With his Gold certification Kim Hyun Joong is making news together with Kara, the group has reached Triple Platinum on the same day. The Gold certification is even more impressive when you consider the fact that the feat has been achieved in just two weeks. 

Kim Hyun Joong has sold 71,812 copies of his album on the day of its release, it was ranked #2 on the Oricon Daily chart on the same day, and it continues to sell very well. Kim Hyun Joong has kicked off his Japanese promotion with record setting numbers since last month. Kim Hyun Joong has sold most albums ever by a debuting foreign artist, since the inception of Oricon Weekly chart on March of 2009. Kim Hyun Joong held his debut commemoration concert on the 5th, at the Yokohama Arena with 20,000 lucky fans. Kim Hyun Joong stated, “I’m only a rookie, thank you for giving me such great result”. 1. Kim Hyun Joong’s An An: I wasn’t able to get my hands on An An. All the convenient stores around here had been all out of An An by morning. It’s really popular. I also stopped by at Oh-mo-tae-san-do on my way to Hanaeda. There was heavy traffic during the morning & evening rush hours there. Station employees were keeping their eyes on people cautioning loudly, “Do not stop. Do not take pics.”

2. Kim Hyun Joong’s An An: I also went to Oh-mo-tae-san-do station on my way to work. I was stopped when I tried to take pics because there were too many people. I wanted to take pics & view the posters at my leisure.

3. Kim Hyun Joong’s An An: I heard about the station employees at Oh-mo-tae-san-do. How incredible…It’s saddening for those who get there & unable to stay & view them. But, it wouldn’t be good if there were to be accidents or complaints filed, damaging Kim Hyun Joong’s name.

4. Kim Hyun Joong’s An An: There were station employees at the station again today. I zoomed my camera & took pics in a short distance away. While I was at it, I also went to Jang-ga-ra Noodles in Ha-ra-ju-ku. They even had Kim Hyun Joong’s songs playing continuously in the background. Although it was a weekday, there were 30 people, who had already come & gone by early morning, claiming to be Kim Hyun Joong’s fans. It has been known that Kim Hyun Joong has a thing for the Ja-ga-ra noodle, but this shows that he has that many more fans now.

5. Kim Hyun Joong’s An An: And! It was in the news….Amazon Japan (the one that was sold out early on) is now accepting orders and resuming the sale of An An! Not to mention, they are scheduled to come in on the 16th…does that mean they have decided to reprint? If a weekly magazine decides to reprint, that is huge!!!!! Kim hyun Joong’s popularity is growing more and more.
