During the filming of this scene, he is covered with dirt on the floor, while showing his action skills. It's said that the staff members clapped for him as he showed his realistic action filled acting.
Kim Hyun Joong went to action school before filming, to perfect the role of the tough male character, Baek Mir.
Through rigorous exercising and a strict diet, he lowered his body fat to 7%.

남성미 넘치는 화려한 액션으로 상대방을 순식간에 꼼짝 못하게 제압하는 김현중의 모습이 담긴 드라마 ‘도시정벌’ 촬영 사진이 공개됐다.
이날 김현중은 촬영장에서 흙투성이가 되어 땅바닥을 뒹굴며 날렵한 동작을 펼쳐 보였다. 혼신을 다하는 연기 투혼을 보여준 김현중의 리얼한 액션 연기에 전 스태프들의 박수 갈채가 쏟아졌다는 후문이다.
김현중은 ‘도시정벌’에서 거친 남자 백미르 역을 완벽히 소화하기 위해 촬영 전부터 액션스쿨에 다니며 열의를 불태웠다.
특히 혹독한 운동과 철저한 식사 제한으로 체지방을 7%까지 낮춰 화제가 되기도 했다.
김현중의 사진을 본 누리꾼들은 “액션신에도 어쩜 저렇게 잘생기고 멋있을 수 있을까!”, “빨리 드라마 속 액션신 보고프다”는 등의 반응을 보이며 드라마에 대한 기대감을 드러냈다.
