韓国の5人組男性グループ・SS501（活動休止中）のリーダーで、俳優としても活躍するキム・ヒョンジュンが5日、横浜アリーナで日本デビュー記念ライブを行った。アンコールでは「Lucky Guy」の日本語バージョンを客席に下りて歌うファンサービスで、場内は女性ファンの黄色い歓声に包まれた。
会場がグリーンとブルーのペンライトで埋め尽くされるなか、愛称の「リーダー」コールに迎えられて登場したヒョンジュンは、日本デビュー曲「KISS KISS／Lucky Guy」（1月25日発売）が初週10.0万枚を売り上げ、初登場2位を獲得したことに対し「僕は新人なのにいい結果を残せて、皆さん本当にありがとうご ざいます」と日本語で感謝。「6万人が（このライブに）応募してくれて全員とお会いできないのは残念ですが、ここにいる人、おめでとうございます！」と呼 びかけて照れ笑いした。
ライブ中には、CMで共演した中村アン、フットサル仲間のナオト・インティライミからビデオメッセージが紹介されたほか、ヒョンジュンが義援金を寄付し た福島県南相馬市のよつば保育園の園児から感謝のメッセージも。園児たちの元気いっぱいな姿に笑顔をみせながら「少しでも勇気づけられたなら嬉しいです。 皆さんも余裕ができたら、子どもたちのために力を尽くしてあげてください」と呼びかけていた。
デビュー作を購入した応募者の中から昼夜2回公演合計2万人を招待して行われたライブでは、日本デビュー曲のほか「Let Me Go」「Break Down」「One More Time」などダンスナンバーとバラードを織りまぜ、全13曲を披露。先月27日に早くも『ミュージックステーション』（テレビ朝日系）に初出演したヒョ ンジュンは「新しい目標を立てなければいけないと思いました。できれば東京ドームまでいけたら」と意欲を語り、場内から大歓声と拍手が沸き起こった。
