日 야마삐, 모닝구무스메 여유 있게 제치고 당당히 1위 등극!
일본에서 발매된 가수 김현중의 두 번째 싱글이 폭발적인 반응을 보이고 있다.
지난 5월 일본에서 김현중의 두 번째 음반 발매 소식이 전해지자 타워레코드 등 온ㆍ오프라인 판매점에서 줄곧 예약 순위1위를 기록했다. 음반 발매 이후 거의 모든 매장에서 물량이 싹쓸이됨과 동시에 타 가수들과 압도적인 차이로 오리콘 데일리와 위클리 차트 1위를 석권했다.
김현중의 일본 두 번째 싱글 ‘히트(HEAT)’는 발매 당일 약 14만장의 판매고를 기록하며 오리콘 데일리 차트 1위를 차지해 세간의 이목을 집중시켰다. 이후 일주일 만에 18만 3,000장의 판매량을 기록하며 오리콘 위클리 차트 정상을 차지하는 영예를 안았다.
일본 인기 가수 야마시타 토모히사, 모닝구무스메 등을 제치고 1위에 올랐다. 특히 위클리 차트 2위를 차지한 일본 최고 가수 야마시타 토모히사의 앨범 ‘러브 체이스’의 판매량인 11만 8,000장 보다 무려 6만장을 뛰어넘는 높은 판매고를 올려 현지 관계자들을 놀라게 했다.
두 번째 싱글 발매 첫 주 판매량 18만장 돌파 기록은 기존 팬들은 물론이고 지난 1월 데뷔 당시 김현중의 음악과 무대를 본 일반 대중들 역시 김현중의 새로운 앨범을 기다려왔다는 방증으로 풀이된다.
일본의 음반 관계자는 “김현중의 이번 앨범에 대한 일본 내 평가가 상당한 수준” 이라면서 “야마시타 토모히사와 모닝구무스메 등 일본 가수뿐 아니라 슈퍼주니어의 ‘오페라’(15만 9,000장), 동방신기의 ‘슈퍼스타’(15만 8,000장), 장근석의 ‘렛 미 크라이’(11만 9,000장), 2PM ‘뷰티풀’(14만 1,000장) 등 타 K-POP가수들의 일본 앨범 첫 주 성적과 견주어봤을 때도 월등한 기록이기에 김현중의 향후 활동에 대한 기대감이 더욱 높아진 상황이다” 고 전했다.
현재 김현중은 두 번째 싱글 활동과 동시에 드라마 ‘도시정벌’의 로케까지 진행하고 있어 현지의 뜨거운 반응은 당분간 지속될 것으로 예상된다. 김현중의 ‘히트’는 현재도 앨범 주문이 계속 이어지고 있으며, 일부 매장에서는 품귀 현상까지 빚어지고 있어 당분간 김현중의 독주는 계속될 전망이다.
김현중은 오는 14일과 15일 이틀간 일본 사이타마 슈퍼 아레나에서 2집 싱글 발매 기념 무료 라이브와 일본 뮤지션 나오토 인티라이미와의 콜라보레이션 무대를 통해 약 6만 여 명의 팬들과 만날 예정이다.
